Been a long time, lots to talk about, for a good wide audio on the FTDX101d is to enable the TTBF for extended TX bandwidth. With the latest firmware update package you can enable the TTBF TX BPF option. Same as the FTDX5000, and some other models power on and press DNR+DNF buttons on the main RX side (lower set).

After this you can setup your parametric EQ inside the radio for using MD or Heil microphones. When you are gonna use external audio equipment then keep those inside EQ’s off, and feed the levels from the external parametric ect.
